Sustainably sourced and enduring quality. Solid hardwood mouldings and premium finishes. Expert craftsmanship and nuanced design. Welcome to our American Hardwoods, a collection of one-of-a-kind frames with rich woodgrains and unique tones as vast as America itself. Here, 5 reasons why you’ll love these special frames.

1. The collection is grown, milled, and built in America

For our American Hardwoods collection, non-endangered timber is sustainably harvested in the Appalachian and Midwest regions. The lumber is then transported to a small mill in North Carolina where it’s cut into large portions of moulding and treated with a water-based finish to protect the wood and enhance the color. Our studios are the last stop, where our talented team custom-cuts, designs and carefully hand-builds each individual frame just for you.

2. The frames are made with four varieties of hardwood

3. Only premium, solid hardwood is used

While many companies work with composite-based MDF (medium density fibreboard) or particle wood wrapped in laminate, our American Hardwoods frames are exclusively made of solid wood. This means the wood is a premium material, stronger than any compound, and 100 percent natural.

4. Each frame is one-of-a-kind with individual variations

Just like every tree is unique, each frame in the American Hardwoods collection is unique. That means when you look closely, you’ll discover slight variations and distinct knot markings and tones.

5. In multiple widths and tones, the frame designs are stylish yet timeless

Working with our four exclusive hardwood varieties (maple, walnut, ash, cherry), our designers have carefully crafted 15 beautiful frame styles. Ranging from mini to gallery, thin to wide, natural grains to rich colors, each frame is unique, made to order, and beautiful in every living space.
